Made over the course of 9 uninterrupted hours — this piece marked the opening of the Griend Garage in Maastricht, an event space and community hub created by Stadsnomade, with over 700 visitors welcomed that day.
Organised by a little collective, the event brought together students, skaters, and young adults from across the city. The mural sits directly across from the entrance — a square of energy, colour and quiet rhythm — woven into the wall like it had always been there.
Unlike my usual scripture work, this piece speaks in blocks and curves. The shift in style is intentional — a gesture towards range, rhythm, and flow. The colour palette echoes the tones of the space around it, locking it into place while anchoring the room with a visual pulse. Roughly 3x3 meters, it acts as a focal point of the space.
